What are the FPA & WFDF World Freestyle Flying Disc Championships (in short: WFC)?
The WFC are the official world championships of Freestyle Frisbee. This year, the two world associations, FPA and WFDF, will jointly conduct the event. Please check out the Info Post by FPA and the WFDF Event Bulletin..
What are the goals of the WFC?
The first goal is to generate a highly professional environment for players to perform at their personal best. We achieve this by conducting the WFC in one of the most modern sport venues in Bavaria with accommodation, food and regeneration options on site.
The second goal is to attract many spectators to increase visibility for our sport. We achieve this by partnering with the WFDF and by embedding the WFC into the Munich Frisbee Festival.
What is the benefit of the collaboration with the WFDF?
The Freestyle Players Association (FPA, freestyledisc.org) and the World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF, wfdf.sport) have been working together for some time. In 2026, this cooperation reaches a new milestone: the Freestyle World Championships will be jointly sanctioned by both organizations.
This unification brings freestyle under a single, shared World Championship, combining the competitive focus and history of FPA Worlds with the global reach and structure of WFDF. As part of this cooperation, WFDF has published the first official bulletin for the FPA & WFDF 2026 World Freestyle Flying Disc Championships which will take place later this year in Munich, Germany.

You only need a FPA membership. You find all details in the registration form.
Anti-Doping requirements
All competitors (athletes) are required to complete the online course „ADEL International-Level Athletes Education Program“ of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

What is the Munich Frisbee Festival?
The WFC 2026 will be the centerpiece of a larger event - the Munich Frisbee Festival. It combines tournaments, workshops and other activities from 5 different frisbee sports: Freestyle, Discgolf, DDC, Ultimate and Wheelchair Ultimate. The main goal is to attract spectators, generate visibility and allow people to try and learn to play frisbee. It takes place on Saturday and Sunday. Where will the WFC 2026 take place?
The WFC 2026 take place in Munich, Germany. The venue is the Sportschule Oberhaching (sportschule-oberhaching.de / Google Maps), one of the most modern sports venues in Bavaria.

Food during the event:
Recommended: The venue restaurant offers a buffet style breakfast (10 €), lunch (14 €) and dinner (11 €), covering all dietary requirements. The restaurant is also open for people staying elsewhere.
Also, a food truck will be there on Saturday and Sunday, from around 10:00 - 17:00, as part of the Frisbee Festival.
